Itinerary

Just got my itinerary! I fly from Portland to Chicago, to Frankfurt, Germany to Madrid, Spain! I leave in the morning on the 4th of September! So pumped.

Party

So much to do for this party! I hope everything goes well. We still need to get table covering, buy food, and make lots of signs! Please RSVP!

Consulate

I wanted to wait until I had pictures from the consulate to post about it, but my camera isn't connecting right. I got on a plane around 7 in the Eugene airport after having dinner with my grandma and hanging with Emily by the gate for about 45 minutes. We arrived in Seattle and tried to find Sierra, who was on a separate flight. We all got together at baggage claim and thought we were meeting Mele, our travel agent, at the Alaska ticket counter. We couldn't find her for about 10 minutes, but after going outside, we did. Mele, her twin, and a co-worker drove us to Cheesecake Factory. A few of them left again to go pick up 2 girls leaving for Denmark in the morning. We got seated after about 40 minutes of waiting, we ordered at least 6 appetizers, then we each got an appetizer. From there the 6 of us drove to Mele's house and slept for about 3 hours, before getting up at 4:15. One of the girls going to Denmark lost her wallet, congaing $500 on her plane from Alaska, and realized this in the middle of the night. I'm not sure if she ever got it back. We got somewhat dressed and headed for the airport. The girls going to Denmark had a few hours until their flight, so we left them before security. We lost ttwo but then picked up a boy and a girl, who live near Seattle, going to San Fran with us. We got our boarding passes, some girls got coffee, then we hopped right on the plane. We got off in San Francisco, got into our Consulate clothes, and boarded a tram to the BART station where we boarded that to the closest stop to the Consulate. We took two taxis to the Consulate, a guy on the street yelled at our cab driver to "fight him," and I was late for my appt. They let me in, but they were not very nice:( We were in the Consulate, and a little cafe around the corner, 'till about 2:30. For the rest of the day we were in China town sightseeing and shopping. We took the BART back to the shuttle station, then a shuttle to the airport. All of us left except Mele got on the plane to Seattle. There we left the two kids who live near Seattle, and us 4 girls got something to eat. Cailtin swears she saw one of the dads from Modern Family, AND that he smirked at her. We never got proof. We had a good flight back to Eugene, and we all got picked up quickly. That was that fastest out of state trip I've ever had!

Got my passport back from the Consulate yesterday, in it was my sticker visa! I e-mailed my travel agent and I'm packing like a crazy woman just in case I leave like TOMORROW. Who knows? (:
