Ahhhhhh!
    I just got contact from my first family! The mother's name is Silvia, the dad's is Rafa, and they have 3 kids- Pilar-16, Guzman-12, Manuel-11. Pilar will be spending next year in the US. Silvia is a pharmacist and Rafa is a sales rep. Silvia wrote and said they belong to a very large extended family that I will have the chance to meet! She didn't say where they live, but she did say I would have my own room. I will upload a picture of them too:)

      I just made about $50 taking bottles and cans back. Holy cow was that a lot of work; I even had to recruit Josh, Mom, and Dad. I'm so thankful you guys are all supporting my dream! E-mail me whenever you have a bag or two of cans and I'll come by to pick them up.

Hey guys!
         As most of you know I am spending my sophomore year in Spain. I have no idea what city yet, but I should know by May 1st. There are about 30 outbound students from Rotary District 5110, including the 3 girls and I going to Spain! The exchange program I am going through is the Rotary Club. This past weekend was the Rotary parent weekend in Roseburg. We learned a lot about documenting our experience, fundraising, and how to make the most of our experience. To kick off my summer fundraising I've decided to start collecting bottles and cans, accepting donations for a garage sale, and selling butter braids (pastries). I will be posting updates and photos as I know more.
